Ages 3–5 — Preschool view Lifesaving Society levels ↗

  • Preschool 1 — Brand new to the water. Face in water, blowing bubbles.
  • Preschool 2 — Submerges and does a basic flutter kick with a float aid.
  • Preschool 3 — Jumps into deep water with a lifejacket, holds breath, back float, short swim.
  • Preschool 4 — Building on P3 skills with more independence. Working toward unassisted glides.
  • Preschool 5 — Flutter kick on front and back independently.

Ages 5+ — Swimmer view Lifesaving Society levels ↗

  • Swimmer 1 — Beginner. Floats, glides, flutter kick on front and back.
  • Swimmer 2 — Advanced beginner. Jumping in independently, short distances.
  • Swimmer 3 — Working toward 15m front and back crawl.
  • Swimmer 4 — Swims 25m. Standing dives, treads water for 1 minute.
  • Swimmer 5 — Swims 50m. Shallow dives, eggbeater kick, interval training.
  • Swimmer 6 — Advanced. Stride entries, lifesaving kicks, 300m workout.

Ages 9+ — Swim Patrol

  • Rookie Patrol — Canadian Swim Patrol — Rookie: fitness, first aid and basic rescue skills. details ↗
  • Ranger Patrol — Canadian Swim Patrol — Ranger: strokes, lifesaving and fitness. details ↗
  • Star Patrol — Canadian Swim Patrol — Star: advanced strokes, rescues and fitness. details ↗
